Timber
When left outside, your outdoor furniture will weather to a soft silver grey colour. Should you wish to keep your furniture looking like new, we recommend that you regularly recoat your furniture with Woodoc30 outdoor furniture oil. Please contact us for purchasing details.

Steps for re-oiling furniture:
Do not use this method if your furniture has already weathered to silver, please see below.

  • Brush off loose dirt
  • Clean surface with steel wool or 400 grit sandpaper
  • Apply 1 – 3 coats of Woodoc30, very lightly sanding between coats if necessary

If your furniture is silver grey, you will need to sand your furniture back to bare timber before re-oiling. Once it has been sanded back, re-oil using the above method.

Canvas
One of the best ways to keep your canvas looking good is with regular cleaning.  To do this use the following steps:

  • Brush off loose dirt
  • Hose down
  • Prepare a cleaning solution of water and mild soap
  • Use a soft bristle brush to clean
  • Allow cleaning solution to soak into fabric
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Air dry

We also recommend that you check the tightness of the canvas sling lacing periodically and re-tighten as necessary.

Lounger cushions
We recommend that you store your lounger cushions when not in use, this will prolong the life of them. Ensure that cushions are completely dry before storing. To clean fabric, use a weak solution of mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly afterwards.

Umbrellas
Here are some hints to help extend the life of your umbrella:

  • Keep your umbrella closed in windy conditions
  • Put an umbrella cover on when not in use to protect from weather
  • Make sure that your umbrella is completely dry before covering or storing
  • Put umbrella in storage over winter months
